Also known as the Trumpet Lily ( or Lilium longiflorum ), The Easter Lily was brought to the USA in 1882 from Bermuda and has only grown in popularity. After the blooms fade away, the leaves may stay until the first frost. This is a shade loving, gently lily, that can make a stunning bouquet for a spring wedding, as was used in the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

Yes! Lily of the valley is very poisonous! According to Wikipedia, the plant can cause abdominal pain, vomiting, reduced heart rate, blurred vision, drowsiness, and red skin rashes.
The red berries are very attractive for the children, and they can ingest it. The toxicity classification of the plant is “1st Grade” on the poison scale, which means that if it’s ingested, it can be fatal for the victim. It can also give severe dermatitis if you touch it. So, be aware that you must be very careful with your kids in the proximity of this flower.
